Stayi

Your drawings.
A home you can walk through.

Share a floor plan with your own assistant. Let it build a private draft, then open the layout here to explore the rooms and talk through corrections.

You don't need AI to use Stayi. Walking through, measuring, arranging furniture and comparing finishes all work on their own.

Start with plans, not a blank canvas

Attach a readable PDF or floor-plan image to your assistant. On the connection screen, choose Create a new home from plans. Your assistant can add floors, rooms, walls, doors, windows and stairs to that private draft.

Ask it to check the drawings in 2D first and flag any missing dimensions. For a DWG, provide a PDF export or use an assistant with an authorized local conversion tool. This connector cannot open files on your computer.

Open Drafts from my AI, choose Refresh from AI, and check the plan, 3D view and walkthrough. Choose Add or align a PDF drawing to place your drawing beneath the model. Select the same PDF and page, then mark two dimensioned corners using coordinates supplied by your assistant. The scale check prevents stretching the image to fit.

If a doorway is wrong, describe the correction in the same conversation. When you’re satisfied, choose Save as a private home. Your selected drawing images stay with the home and are included if you later choose to share it.

This is an early-access reconstruction workflow, not automatic architectural verification. Drawing alignment needs your review. Check important dimensions against your drawings or the real room.

Fine-tune a doorway or window

You can make small opening corrections yourself. In your draft, choose Correct a doorway or window, select it on the plan, and compare it with your drawing. Adjust its wall, position, width, height or sill, then choose Apply to draft. Nothing is applied while you’re trying values; Cancel keeps the earlier layout.

The correction stays in the draft until you save a new private home. Tell your assistant to refresh before its next change.

You choose what changes

A draft connection can change only that draft. It cannot overwrite your saved homes, certify the plans or share anything. Saving a later corrected draft creates a separate home; your previous furniture layouts and sharing stay with the earlier home.

For a home you've already saved, choose that home instead. Your assistant can read dimensions and suggest furniture or finish changes, but not change its walls. Open AI suggestions to preview an idea, then Apply and Save if you like it.

Connection setup and requirements

This early-access connection uses MCP, a way for your assistant to access Stayi's tools. Codex CLI has been tested with it; Claude account compatibility has not yet been verified end to end. Phone setup also remains unverified.

The separate experimental browser connection works only in a compatible open tab. The setup below connects to a saved home and doesn't require its viewer to stay open.

1. Add the connector

Use this same endpoint in a compatible remote MCP client:

https://home-preview-greyi.web.app/api/mcp

Claude

In Claude’s Connectors settings, add a custom connector named Stayi with the endpoint above. Choose Connect, sign in to Stayi, and review the home and permissions. You do not need a client secret.

Organization administrators may need to add the connector first. Client availability and settings can change; see Claude’s official custom connector guide.

Codex

Add the endpoint as a Streamable HTTP MCP server, then sign in. From the Codex CLI:

codex mcp add home-preview --url https://home-preview-greyi.web.app/api/mcp
codex mcp login home-preview --scopes home:read, home:propose, home:author

These permissions offer both workflows; the consent screen grants only the one you select. Existing connections need to reconnect to request architectural draft access. See the official Codex MCP commands.

2. Choose one home or draft

For new plans, allow the assistant to build and correct a separate private draft. For an existing home, grant read access and optionally allow furniture and finish suggestions. The assistant’s provider may process the files you attach and the model details returned under its own policies.

No original PDF/DWG files, source images, other homes, sharing grants, purchases or architectural approval are exposed by this connector. Draft edits are stored as they are made; saving a home requires your separate confirmation. Connections expire after seven days and can be removed earlier from AI connections.

3. Start with your drawings or a decision

  • “Build my attached floor plan in Stayi. Read the draft guide first, use the printed dimensions and ask me about anything unclear.”
  • “That doorway belongs farther down the hallway. Check the drawing and correct the draft.”
  • “What are the dimensions of the bedroom?”
  • “Show me an option with a warmer bedroom floor.”

Measurements come from the model. Check critical dimensions in the real room before buying or building.

4. Review in the viewer

Open the private home, choose AI tools, then AI suggestions and Preview suggestion. Check it in plan or 3D, Apply or Discard, and use Undo if needed. Save remains a separate choice.

Local edits—including Undo—advance the design revision. To use a suggestion for the saved revision, return to My homes and reopen it, discarding local changes. To keep local changes, save first and ask your AI for a fresh suggestion.

Only one pending suggestion is kept per connection. If you change the saved home, stale suggestions are rejected; ask your AI to read the new version and try again.

Accounts and current limits

Your assistant requires its own account and uses that account's allowance. Stayi does not add a separate AI usage charge for these tools during early access. New draft creation is limited to invited pilot accounts.

The connector supplies layout tools, not its own plan-reading AI. Your assistant must be able to inspect the attached drawings and use remote tools. A complete unseen-plan conversation in Claude remains unverified. PDF overlays are added and aligned by you in the private draft page, not transferred automatically from your assistant. The original PDF stays on your device; selected page images are stored privately. Walkthrough moves within one floor at a time.
