Try the pieces you have in mind.
Start with furniture from the library, create a simple piece using its dimensions, or import a 3D model. For floors, try a color or bring in a picture of the finish.
Furniture at the right size
The creator makes simple tables, benches, shelving, cabinets, sofas, chairs and beds. Enter the dimensions of the piece you're considering, then place it in the room. These are planning shapes, not detailed manufacturer models.
For an imported 3D model, confirm its real width using the manufacturer's specifications. The model keeps its proportions, but we can't verify that the supplied file matches the product. Check the actual room before ordering.
Supported furniture and finish files
| File | Use | Limits |
|---|---|---|
| GLB 2.0 | Floor-standing furniture and objects | 20 MB; static model with embedded textures; no compressed extensions |
| PNG, JPEG or WebP | Floor and material images | 8 MB; up to 4096 × 4096 pixels; no animation |
| Asset recipe JSON | Custom pieces made from simple shapes | Up to 100 box, cylinder or sphere parts, with dimensions |
SKP, FBX and OBJ files aren't supported. Wall-mounted and hanging objects aren't supported yet, and a product photograph can't be turned into a 3D object here.
Try a finish in the room
Select a floor and choose its color or finish image. Set the pattern's repeat size to match the material, then change its direction if needed. Preview before applying. Screen colors and lighting won't exactly match the installed material—keep physical samples in the decision.
A few files to practice with
Download a sample 3D object, a sample floor image or a bench recipe. They're demonstration files, not products for sale.
Keep your work
Save to your account when you're working in a private home. You can also export a project file containing its furniture, finishes and drawings. Anyone with that downloaded file can read it, so share it thoughtfully.
To import a project file as another home, use Import reconstructed home in My homes. It creates a separate private home with sharing off. Private saves currently accept files up to 8 MB, so projects with large furniture models or textures may need smaller files.
